ActiVote is a political app that educates users on important topics and creates ways for them to engage at a State and Federal government levels.

PROCESS MAPPING.
With ActiVote's research, app audit, and user data we were able to reconfigure the process to educate users and curate the experience to each individual. This in turn led to creating a wire flow chart that would take the user from initial screen to completion. With such an intensive amount of information, the app was broken down into segments accompanied with a progress bar and snippets of copy. This helped increase retention because the user was able to identify where they were at and read through at shorter times. The flow chart was then brought into XD for initial wireframe and prototyping to determine UX.
FUN INTRICATE ILLUSTRATIONS.
The illustrations played a key part throughout the onboarding process as we had to understand the feelings of the users and have them adapt to quick learning. Each milestone they completed, an illustrative accomplishment was shown on a purple screen for added visual reference. As they continued, the app became more informational and led them to understanding the UI of the app after completion. A series of screens were illustrative to strengthen the UI at a conceptual level.
