The Authority
ADA LEVEL AA COMPLIANT WEBSITE
The Authority owns and manages Cumberland County's Solid Waste Complex and facilitates a robust recycling program. By serving over 10 municipalities, they needed a website that served those with and without disabilities and providing them great UX. The old website and information was revamped and reconfigured to better serve the people while maintaining an ADA Level AA compliance.

DESIGNED TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO ALL.
The Authority is in charge of the entire Cumberland County area within New Jersey. The focus and task was to develop a website that was accessible to those who have disabilities and maintain a strict ADA Level AA compliance. This would ensure the citizens of Cumberland County have access to valuable information and stay up-to-date as they continue to grow.
Through research, competitive analysis, and website audit the basis to create experience mapping was next. The sitemap and wireframes were designed around UX decisions and behaviors.

INTERFACE OF THE AUTHORITY.
Through the development of the sitemap and wireframes, the website UI was designed to be informative, modern, and captivate the attention of developers and local citizens. Throughout the website, sticky sidebar elements, breadcrumb links, and layered, angular elements give the pages a dynamic look that visually represents The Authority as a community leader and guide.

MOBILE IN MIND.
Through analytical data, a high majority of users visited the website through mobile devices. In part, the sticky sidebar and carousel functionality on desktop had to be reconfigured on mobile without losing the purpose of guiding an individual. By utilizing dropdown menus, the information was placed up top without sacrificing space between content keeping it within minimal scroll and ADA compliant.
