Wool & Co

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS

Wool & Co. is a locally owned knitting shop that provides customers more than just yarn, but a community to to learn and grow together. They recently relocated to a newer, bigger 6,000 square foot retail space and wanted to make an impact for the community. A series of illustrative murals were drawn to encompass the inside of the building along with tapestries, and exit signage.

A JOURNEY ACROSS THE GLOBE.

These illustrative murals provide an educational purpose of where the native origins of certain yarns are found. On each wall of the Wool & Co. building, an illustrative mural of certain animals are portrayed with their natural surrounding landmarks. This provides an immersive, fun visual for shoppers to explore around the building while shopping for their next yarn filled project. Not only will the kids learn something on their next visit, but the adults too.

PURPOSEFUL IMPLENTATION.

As the contractors were working on the interior renovation, the blueprint drafting was the only means of being able to determine placement and size of art. Throughout the creative process, adjustments to illustrations were made to fit accordingly around the building and allow the hand-written typography to be easily identified at eye-level view from the main entrance.
